BIO

Lucia Bricco (Torino,1988) è un’artista italiana con base ad Atene che lavora principalmente con il disegno e la performance.
Studia all’Accademia Albertina di Torino con i Professori Luca Piffero e Iginio De Luca, all’Academia Complutense di Madrid nel 2011/12 e dal 2013 studia all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma con Donatella Landi, Myriam Laplante e Cecilia Casorati. Si laurea nel 2015 con la tesi Dal mezzo. Indagine sulla visione, studio delle possibilità dell’abitare uno scambio.

Nel 2015 partecipa a Uscita d’emergenza, mostra collettiva curata da Whart al museo MACRO Testaccio di Roma e Siderare ’15 curato da Fondazione VOLUME!. Partecipa a diverse residenze tra cui Citè internationale des Arts di Parigi tra Novembre 2015 e Gennaio 2016 con Incontri Internazionali d’Arte.

Dal 2016 incrementa il suo lavoro con la performance ed il disegno, nel 2017 partecipa a The extrem moment as lasting value, performance workshop di Helge Meyer a Colonia (DE), a Forming inattention: becoming lost, workshop di Sandra Johnston a Museumsbahnsteig, Oberhausen (DE) e Performance as experiment, workshop di Marylin Arsem in Lublin (PL).

Nel 2018 organizza, in collaborazione con antropologi e filosofi dell’Università degli Studi di Torino e con il patrocinio della città di Torino il Turin Table - Performance Art Week invitando 9 artisti provenienti da diverse parti del mondo. Ad Atene organizza The exhibition in a little swimming pool.

Partecipa a diverse residenze, esposizioni e performance festival in Italia, Grecia, Polonia, Spagna, Francia, Ucraina, Repubblica Ceca, Germania e Bielorussia tra cui Performance Platform Lublin, Galeria Labirynt, Lublin (PL), ZABIH Performance Festival, Lviv (UA), Performensk, Minsk (BY) e Platform Project 2019, fiera degli spazi indipendenti in rappresentanza di Sub Rosa Space ad Atene.

Dal 2018 vive e lavora ad Atene (GR).

Lucia Bricco (Turin, 1988) is an italian artist based in Athens. She studied at the Accademia Albertina in Turin (IT) with Luca Piffero and Iginio De Luca, in the Academia Complutense de Madrid (SP) in 2011/12 and then in the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome (IT) with Donatella Landi, Myriam Laplante and Cecilia Casorati. She got her master degree in 2015 with the degree thesis In Between, investigation on the vision. Study of the possibility of living an exchange. In 2015 she takes part in Uscita d’emergenza, collective exhibition curated by Whart at MACRO Testaccio Museum in Rome and Siderare ’15 curated by Fondazione VOLUME!. Between November 2015 and January 2016 she worked in Paris in the residency at the Citè Internationale des Arts.

Since 2016 she increased her work with performance and drawing, in 2017 she participated at Extrem moment as lasting value, performance workshop led by Helge Meyer in Köln (DE), Forming inattention: becoming lost, workshop by Sandra Johnston in Museumsbahnsteig, Oberhausen (DE), both organized by performance group PAErsche and Performance as experiment, workshop by Marylin Arsem in Lublin (PL). In 2018 she organized the Turin Table - Performance Art Week with the support of the city of Turin, by involving 10 artists from different countries, working together with anthropologists and philosophers from the University of Turin. In 2018 she organized The Exhibition in a little Swimming Pool in Athens.

She took part in several residencies, exhibitions and performance festivals in Italy, Spain, Poland, Ukraine, Germany, Greece, France, Czech Republic, Belarus such as Performance Platform Lublin, Galeria Labirynt, Lublin (PL), ZABIH Performance Festival, Lviv (UA), Performensk, Minsk (BY) and Platform Project 2019, fair of independent spaces, as a representative of Sub Rosa Space in Athens (GR).

Since 2018 she lives and works in Athens (GR).
